My 50th birthday marathon in Uluru
On 25 July Owen, Harvey and I will be running the Australia Outback Marathon for Running for Premature Babies (42.2km or me, and 6km for Owen and Harvey) to give babies born prematurely in the Northern Territory a better chance of survival.
The Alice Springs hospital NICU is currently using humidicribs that are 15 to 20 years old, so our team's goal is to provide this unit with 2 new machines with superior technology to help save the lives of their tiniest babies.
Wonderfully we have a donor who will dollar match every dollar raised by this team, up to $10,000, so every dollar you donate will be doubled!
Our whole team will of course be covering all our own costs for this exciting challenge and trip to our red centre. 100% of funds raised will be donated straight to the RFPB Foundation.
On a personal note I will be running this marathon to celebrate my 50th birthday and Owen will be running to celebrate his 12th birthday. If you would like to make a small donation in lieu of a birthday gift for either Owen or me we would be so grateful! Thank you so much,
Love Sophie, Owen and Harvey xxx
